Final Update: A Resolution
Subsequently, with the election of a Conservative Administration in 2006 and after exchanges of correspondence between The Vince Hines Foundation Trustees and the new Conservative Leadership, it was shown that all relevant checks were in fact in place, as stated by the Foundation previously, and therefore there was no basis for the continuation of a dispute.
It was therefore agreed by both the Council and the Foundation that it was time to draw a line under the previous matter and move on.
As a result, both the Council and the Foundation re-established good working relationships.
