Summer 2004 Children and Young People Activities Continue |

‘Thank You for Another Success Story’
Summer 2004 Children and Young people activities recorded a new land mark in the history of the Vince Hines Foundation 29 years of community work at the grassroots.
These activities included residential and non-residential, providing opportunities for socially excluded, hardest to reach and challenging young members of the community.
Over a period of six weeks, during July and August, the Foundation’s Youth Development Team (YDT) organised four adventure residential activities for fifty urban children and young people to Devon and Surrey. The Programme targeted those who would not otherwise have an away holiday.
In addition, YDT organised 477 non-residential activities, including youth debating forum. To cap it all, an End of Summer Celebration Party was organised for all participants on 27th August 2004.
During the six weeks, staff, volunteers, students, trainees and beneficiaries experienced challenges, laughter and fun. A time for reflections, focus and re-focus, self discoveries, learning of new skills, making of new friends, etc. The Programme catered for 150 children and young people.
The Trustees and Management Committee thank all concerned who contributed to make 2004 Summer Activities another success story, including funders, staff, volunteers, students, trainees and beneficiaries.
